SERVICED APPARTMENTS
Even changing a bulb can be a daunting task in an unfamiliar city. Juggling a job and housework can be irksome, especially when it eats up all your time. This is probably why serviced apartments with their array of facilities are proliferating in the city. While some have been around for over a decade, others have sprouted up in the last two-three years. Still more are in the pipeline.
Many companies are tying up with the owners to accommodate their employees in these apartments. With a ready market, the concept is fast catching on.
The range of services offered with apartments varies but slightly. Power backup, Wi-Fi internet, basic housekeeping, maintenance and security are the bare minimum you get. All of them have kitchens — or kitchenette if it's a studio-apartment — but cooks can become an "addon " as can laundry services. Some even come with personal attendants and computers. If the residences occur in blocks with receptions, they're likely to have travel desks, too.
